Key Steps for Enrolment

A learner can search & locate his/her nearest RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra) in Rajasthan by Click Here.

The learner should fill an application form available at the RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra), submit relevant documents & pay the prescribed course fees.

Once the learner submits his/her details, relevant documents, and pays the fees, the RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra) will fill the learner details in the RKCL portal and upload the learner data. Further, the RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra) coordinator will hand over a fee receipt. Learner is expected to verify the online details (personal details, course name, batch/month, fee receipt) as filled in by RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra).

Once admission is confirmed on the RKCL portal, RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra) will assign a mutually suitable training batch & time to the learner. After batch/time allotment, the learner has to physically attend the classes at IT Gyan Kendra premises. A well-trained & qualified faculty/instructor will teach the course as per schedule and impart both theoretical and practical lab-based knowledge.

Subsequently, after a few days, the learner also receives a User ID and password from RKCL Training center (IT Gyan Kendra) to start e-learning through the RKCL LMS portal.

Pedagogy
We employ a Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) model-based language skill teaching under this course. The pedagogy involves a blended mode of learning, i.e., using both online and offline training methodologies. A few salient features are listed below:

Functional English Skills: RKCL's English course emphasizes the functional use of English covering all aspects of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW), and remedies for the removal of MTI (Mother Tongue Influences).

Blended Learning Methodology: We use a blended learning approach with digital content for both the trainer/faculty and the student, enhancing learning, practice, and self-assessment. The content includes rich audio-visual features such as ‘listen-record-compare’ and glossary. Sessions follow a parallel-structure where concepts are introduced in the ILT (Instructor Led Theory) session and reinforced with hands-on practice in the CBT (Computer-Based Training) session. The printed book contents are also synchronized with the e-content sequence for effective home practice and theory sessions.

Interactive and Participatory Sessions: Various role plays and free speech activities make the classroom sessions highly interactive, helping in removing stage fear and building confidence among learners.

Daily Training Plan: The recommended daily training plan includes one classroom session followed by one computer-based learning session. Classroom training will be conducted by an RKCL Center Trainer. Lab sessions will involve each student practicing on a computer under the trainer's supervision, engaging in various exercises to listen, speak, self-assess, and repeat exercises as needed.

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It usually describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. However, qualifying grades for RKCL Spoken English Courses are based on a 4-point scale only.
