In response to the growing demands of the digital era, the Secondary Education Department introduced the CLICK (Computer Literacy Initiative for Comprehensive Knowledge) scheme in 2017-18. This initiative aims to prepare students from government secondary and higher secondary schools, as well as Swami Vivekananda Government Model Schools, for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
The CLICK initiative offers students from classes 6 to 10 a unique blend of academic knowledge and essential computer skills. By integrating technical proficiency with their regular studies, the scheme ensures that students are not only educated but also equipped with the practical skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Unlike traditional education, this program is voluntary and operates on a self-funded basis, giving students the flexibility to choose to participate and benefit from it. The primary goal is to enhance computer literacy among students while also providing them with vocational skills, making them better prepared to tackle technical challenges in their future careers.
